3months and a New Year

After Christmas It was New Years. Welcome year 2009 and here's to a fresh start.
MJ was facing many new challenges. Turning 3months and mommy starting college.
How was this going to work out when me and mommy had yet to be separated no more then 15 minutes.Well I can say that the first night was interesting. I was excited to begin a new point in my life and doing something Ive always wanted to do. On another point I was scared to death how was he going to do being away from me for so long and how was i going to do being away from him. Well the first night was definitely a trial but we made it through and we still have a rough night here and their but mostly its going great. MJ turned 3months January 10 and I'll say it again it's going by way to fast.

Christmas Show

First Christmas

How exciting to look through your child's eyes at Christmas.
To rediscover the toy aisle :). I was so excited to pick out toys and clothes for him.Which yes at 2months they don't understand it much but its fun none the less.He got his baby's first stocking and we made ornaments with his picture and date on them.Uncle Denn Denn and Aunt Emma came Christmas eve to open gifts and eat dinner. He slept through most of it but it was still such a special event. We got up and opened a few gifts I saved just for Christmas morning and took pictures in front of the Christmas tree. We then headed to our Aunt Janice's And Uncle John's for Christmas dinner and to meet are new cousin Grapeseed :) which we were very excited to welcome to the family. It was a very special Christmas:)

2MONTHS OLD

December 10,2008 happy 2month birthday :)

Where does the time go he's growing in leaps and bounds.

Amazing me with all the things he's able to do already. He can roll over both ways which his doctor when we took him to his 2month checkup was like no way while he was laying on the exam table he then preceded to show her how wrong she was by almost rolling off the table. Never tell MJ he shouldn't be able to do something. We had a lot going on at this time. Are bathrooms were under major construction. MJ enjoyed the company and watching all the work being done though by our family members Eddie & Uncle Gil. Turned out great and now have two wonderful bathrooms. We also went and had his first set of shots. So nerve racking with all the complications that occur and being a first time mommy you imagine the worst while praying for the best. Also no matter how many times you see them get stuck with needles you never get use to it and you just wish you could take all the pain from them onto yourself a thousand times over. MJ screams to high heaven and then as soon as i pick him up he's all better and ready to leave. He's Mommy's little trooper.

First Thanksgiving

After turning a month old it wasn't long before thanksgiving was upon us.
We usually go to my Aunt Kathy's but this year we staid home and just did it low key.
We had turkey with all the trimmings and my brother DJ who is now MJ's proud uncle came and had dinner with us. MJ had a special turkey outfit which his Nana thought was ridiculous lol but it didn't matter anyways because he only wore it very briefly before deciding to spit up all over lol.It said gobble gobble on the hat and had little pumpkin booties. So on too the next outfit which was his baseball outfit. He of course looks adorable in anything . He spent most of thanksgiving being oohed and aahhd over by his uncle Denn Denn. It was a very nice and fun first Thanksgiving.

Alot Of Firsts

Life takes on a whole new meaning when your child is born. You have a whole new way at looking at everything. Everyday common things you've done a million times suddenly become exciting and fascinating. Just entering into your home with your new baby you can't wait to take them through each room and show them everything. Some things that will always stand out to me and make me smile are MJ's first time in his fishy swing, his first time in the bath tub,and laying on his play mat. There's so many firsts and there all so precious and important memories.I'm determined to capture them all:).

1 Month Flew By

Time Started flying by when we got home. Between all the doctor appointments and just getting into the routine of things our days were done in the blink of an eye. MJ was thriving on just nursing he had gained all the weight back that he had lost before leaving the hospital. We celebrated his cousin being born just seventeen days after MJ's own birth,Ms.Grapeseed :) and MJ's first Halloween which we went to our church fall festival all within his first month home. It was very exciting times for just being home barely a month. Then it was official he was 1month old November 10!!!!!

Heading Home

Well after three days of hospital life it was time to head on home. They almost didn't let us go because of his jaundice but his levels were just low enough for us to make it thank god.No offense to hospitals but you get no rest and it's just not the same as sleeping in your own bed :).MJ did really well sleeping in the hospital so I was hoping he would do just as well home. So we got to go home but return the next day for blood work. That's the hardest thing watching your little new baby get stuck repeatedly in the feet :(.So our Aunt Janice came and escorted us home safely. The first car ride is so nerve racking your just praying to get home safely.Everything takes on a new meaning.Well we made it home and were very happy to be there.MJ settled right in and was happy as long as I was near :) He took right to breastfeeding and wasn't having it any other way. They told me to supplement because of his jaundice but after him screaming and crying i gave up and just let him nurse.I've learned doctors, books, family all are going to give you all kinds of different and yes well meaning advice but sometimes you just have to figure things out on your and whats best for your baby because there all different. His jaundice finally went away after a very long month of many doctor and hospital visits. Also Without saying alot of prayer. He is an amazing Little boy and always doing things to surprise me like rolling over a soon as we brought him home.Being able to hold his head up by himself as soon as he was born.Supporting weight on his strong legs and being so full of energy for someone having just been born. He's always getting comments like "he looks like a little man"and "look at all that curly hair".He's special beyond belief my little miracle baby. The one who they said my have down syndrome or cystic fibrosis he's just fine and beautiful :)

The Beginning

MJ was born October 10,2008.At 9lbs 15oz and 21 1/2 inches long he was more then ready to join the world kicking and screaming:).It was the happiest day of my life and man what a road it has been getting to here. We've had everything going against us but we made it and we are doing just fine.He was born with the most beautiful black curly hair and the biggest blue eyes.I had to have a c-section with him and my mother was in the room with me when he was born.He was crying and I asked my mom what was wrong with him? They brought him over and I said MJ mommys here and he instantly stopped crying and looked at me like hey your here. So ok everythings fine now. When they handed him too me everything instantly fell away and I knew we were going be ok.I was going to make sure of that. All the worries and doubts were just gone and it was just me and my baby

the love of my life.I had went down a rough path but not a wrong one just a much harder one but it was ok now.

My baby shower was really special and hosted by my aunt and cousins.I got alot of wonderful things and it meant alot to me :)
