Well after three days of hospital life it was time to head on home. They almost didn't let us go because of his jaundice but his levels were just low enough for us to make it thank god.No offense to hospitals but you get no rest and it's just not the same as sleeping in your own bed :).MJ did really well sleeping in the hospital so I was hoping he would do just as well home. So we got to go home but return the next day for blood work. That's the hardest thing watching your little new baby get stuck repeatedly in the feet :(.So our Aunt Janice came and escorted us home safely. The first car ride is so nerve racking your just praying to get home safely.Everything takes on a new meaning.Well we made it home and were very happy to be there.MJ settled right in and was happy as long as I was near :) He took right to breastfeeding and wasn't having it any other way. They told me to supplement because of his jaundice but after him screaming and crying i gave up and just let him nurse.I've learned doctors, books, family all are going to give you all kinds of different and yes well meaning advice but sometimes you just have to figure things out on your and whats best for your baby because there all different. His jaundice finally went away after a very long month of many doctor and hospital visits. Also Without saying alot of prayer. He is an amazing Little boy and always doing things to surprise me like rolling over a soon as we brought him home.Being able to hold his head up by himself as soon as he was born.Supporting weight on his strong legs and being so full of energy for someone having just been born. He's always getting comments like "he looks like a little man"and "look at all that curly hair".He's special beyond belief my little miracle baby. The one who they said my have down syndrome or cystic fibrosis he's just fine and beautiful :)
